It isn’t the largest supplement, but it does a fantastic halls of laying out the 1st level of Undermountain. Revenge of the Giants: ComiXology Thousands of Digital Comics. Given the size of the first level alone which not covered by this sourcebook, there is plenty of places to create additional plots and adventures within the Undermountain.
My only complaint is that it only covers the first level of Undermountain. Like many products from the older lines specially 2nd editionthere are a lot of magical effects present on some encounters that produces hallss effects and makes no sense.
While magic items specifically have detailed 4e stats, most unddermountain are not statted out, but referenced by book. They do a great job of evoking the classic dungeon delve feel, where you might traverse many interesting rooms in a day before PCs stop to rest. Posting Quick Reply – Please Wait. I greatly enjoyed this book as both an adventure and sourcebook. The material is well-presented and offers not only options for stand-alone play, but for making the three adventures in the setting into its own mini-campaign.
However, I got them out without issue. This is the first book in a long time where I look at it and regret buying it at full price, but only because of how sparce it is in size. And it really doesn’t disappoint.

Posted By Abstruse Thursday, 27th December, Production Quality The production quality of Halls of Undermountain is excellent, with an engaging writing style and plenty of details, as well as a logical presentation of materials for ease of use of the product. Many iconic locations are still faithfully represented and nudermountain layouts are not presented in a way that are very instruction heavy.

How useful is this as a resource for people who already have the older Undermountain material? The product offered nearly pages of contents, and was far more comprehensive in its coverage of the area than the 4E version. On the reverse and on another 2-sided poster map are really nicely done battlemap tile poster images for several of the more interesting rooms and for the famous Yawning Portal tavern. There are several new magic items introduced in the adventures as well, some of which have specific functions that only work within the Undermountain itself.
First of all, the place is in a locale Waterdeep that no 4th Edition sourcebook was ever made for. The adventures are mainly aimed at low Heroic Tier characters, and offer a wide range of experiences for dbd and seasoned players.
And to date, there have been six supplements and modules featuring various parts of this massive delve, starting with The Ruins of Undermountain boxed set inanother boxed set called The Ruins of Undermountain II: Halls oof Undermountain Design: There’s a problem loading this menu right now.
